And our message to the rest of the world is clear: the EU and Mercosur choose cooperation over competition, and partnership over polarization." This was stated by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during the signing of the EU-Mercosur agreement in Asuncion, Paraguay.
"But this moment belongs to all the Mercosur nations: Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay. Because this moment is not only about bringing the countries closer together, but also about connecting two continents, and each of the Mercosur nations has worked hard to achieve this result," she explained.
