Rome, 11 Jan. (LaPresse) – “After more than 70 hours of almost total internet blackout, the Narges Foundation is receiving absolutely terrifying reports of mass shootings against protesters by the forces of the Islamic Republic, which have caused the deaths of at least more than 2,000 protesters”. This was written on X by the Narges Mohammadi Foundation, Iranian dissident and 2023 Nobel Peace Prize winner. ‘According to reports,’ writes the foundation, ‘this is a large-scale crackdown taking place under the cover of a digital blackout. Mass arrests are underway, while families are seen gathering in centres filled with corpses in search of the remains of their loved ones.’
