Turin, 9 January (LaPresse) – ‘The Oreshnik has been used again, this time against the Lviv region. Once again, deliberately close to the borders of the European Union. In terms of the use of medium-range ballistic missiles, this poses the same challenge for everyone: Warsaw, Bucharest, Budapest and many other capitals as well.’ This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening address. ‘Everyone must see this in the same way and with the same seriousness: if the Russians don't even bother to find a plausible excuse to use such weapons, then no personal ties and no rhetoric will protect anyone from this,’ he explained. ‘What is needed is a system of joint action, a system of collective defence, that really works,’ he added.
