This was stated by Vice President JD Vance, accusing the media of misrepresenting the facts. The woman who was shot had ‘attempted to ram the officer,’ who ‘defended himself,’ Vance said during a briefing at the White House. ‘ICE officers should be supported in their work,’ the vice president said, arguing that the victim was part of a ‘wide-ranging left-wing network.’
