Milan, Jan. 7 (LaPresse) – “Today, Rustem Umerov has already presented a preliminary report on the work carried out by the Ukrainian negotiating team in France. Another round of talks will be held with the US President's envoys, which will be the third in two days,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote in a social media post. “In particular, we expect the most difficult issues of the basic framework for ending the war to be discussed, namely those relating to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and the territories,” he added. “I have also instructed the team to discuss possible formats for meetings at the leadership level between Ukraine, other European states, and the United States.” “Ukraine does not shy away from the most difficult issues and will never be an obstacle to peace. Peace must be dignified,” Zelensky concluded, "and this depends on our partners, on whether they can guarantee Russia's real willingness to end the war. By the end of the day, I expect a detailed report from our negotiating team. Ukraine will be represented at today's meetings by Rustem Umerov, Andrii Hnatov, Kyrylo Budanov, Sergiy Kyslytsya, Davyd Arakhamiia, and Oleksandr Bevz."
