Milan, 7 January (LaPresse) – The Iranian state news agency Irna, citing the Iranian judiciary, reports that a man accused of being a Mossad spy was executed this morning. ‘Ali Ardestani was one of the Mossad's key figures in Iran and had passed sensitive information’ to Israel, Irna reports, specifying that the sentence was carried out by hanging ‘for the crime of spying for the Mossad secret service and security services, for providing sensitive information’. ‘According to existing documents and the explicit confessions of the defendant, Ali Ardestani, on the orders of Mossad agents, he provided the service with images and photographs of specific locations and information on target subjects, receiving sums of money in the form of digital currency at the end of each mission,’ Irna wrote, adding that Ardestani had been arrested after being identified while carrying out a mission for the Zionist regime.
