Milan, 6 January (LaPresse) – Russian air defence systems shot down 129 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Russian regions during the night. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defence, quoted by Tass. ‘Between 11 p.m. (Moscow time) on 5 January and 7 a.m. (Moscow time) on 6 January, air defence warning systems intercepted and destroyed 129 Ukrainian drones,’ the statement read. Twenty-nine drones were neutralised in the Bryansk region, 15 were shot down in the Belgorod region, 13 were destroyed in the Yaroslavl region, 10 in the Novgorod region and nine in the Smolensk region. Seven drones were shot down in the Kursk and Penza regions, six each in the Tver region and Bashkortostan, and five each in the Astrakhan and Rostov regions. Four drones were destroyed in the Kaluga region, two each in the Moscow region, the Orel region and the Leningrad region, and one each in the Voronezh, Kostroma, Tula, Tambov and Ryazan regions, Crimea and Tatarstan.
