Rome, 4 January (LaPresse) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in a telephone conversation with his Venezuelan counterpart, Yvan Eduardo Gil Pinto, described the US raid that led to the capture of President Nicolas Maduro as ‘a clear example of state terrorism and a clear attack on the sovereignty and national will of the Venezuelan people’. Araghchi, according to the Irna news agency, emphasised Iran's support for the people and the elected government of Venezuela.
