Venezuela, CNN: "U.S. did not notify Colombia of the attack and the capture of Maduro"

Washington, Jan. 3 (LaPresse) – According to a Colombian source, the United States gave no advance notice to Colombia before launching its operation in Venezuela, but they were aware of potential plans to capture Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. Colombia did not know when or how the United States had planned to carry out the capture, the source told CNN. The source added that Colombia is sending troops to the border with Venezuela "for humanitarian reasons, but also to contain ELN guerrillas who have denounced the United States intervention in Venezuela".
