Washington, Jan. 2 (LaPresse) – “If Iran shoots and violently kills peaceful protesters, as is its habit, the United States of America will rush to their aid. We are ready to intervene. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” U.S. President Donald Trump said in a post on his Truth social network regarding the ongoing protests in Iran.
Tehran responded immediately. “Trump should know that U.S. intervention in internal issues leads to chaos across the entire region and the destruction of U.S. interests,” wrote Ali Larijani, former speaker of parliament and current secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, in a message on X. Larijani said that Israel and the United States are fueling the ongoing protests in Iran. “The American people should know that Trump has embarked on adventurism. They should take care of their own soldiers,” Larijani stated.
