The teams discussed ‘all aspects of the peace framework’ and that the 20-point peace plan is ‘90% agreed upon.’ This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference with Donald Trump after their meeting at Mar-a-Lago. ‘We agreed that security guarantees are a fundamental milestone in achieving lasting peace, and our teams will continue to work on all aspects,’ he explained. ‘We must respect our land, our people and the territory we control,’ added the Kiev leader. Our attitude towards Donbass is ‘very clear’; Ukraine has ‘a different position from Russia,’ he added. Ukrainian and US negotiators will continue talks in the coming weeks to discuss a possible peace agreement, and Donald Trump will host another meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders in January.
