Ukraine, Zelensky: ‘700-800 billion for reconstruction, we are collaborating with the US’

Rome, 27 December (LaPresse) – ‘We are working with the United States to define a roadmap for Ukraine's prosperity. Our vision, shared with the United States, extends to 2040 and covers the key elements of an agreement on investment and future prosperity.’ Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on X on the eve of his meeting with US President Donald Trump in Florida. The Ukrainian leader stressed that an estimated ‘about 700-800 billion’ dollars will be needed to rebuild the country. ‘The main aspects and directions are our national goals, life expectancy, the return of refugees, per capita GDP, new jobs, security guarantees and then access to markets and membership of the European Union,’ Zelensky stressed.
