Milan, 26 December (LaPresse) – The Kremlin has analysed the information provided to Russian President Vladimir Putin by presidential envoy and negotiator Kirill Dmitriev after talks in Miami and, on Putin's instructions, contacts have already been established between representatives of the Russian and US administrations. This was reported by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, according to the Russian news agency Interfax. ‘After Kirill Dmitriev reported to the president on the results of his trip to America and his contacts with the Americans, this information was analysed and, on Putin's instructions, contacts were initiated between representatives of the Russian and US administrations,’ Peskov told reporters. Interfax adds that according to the Kremlin spokesman, ‘it was agreed to continue the dialogue.’ When asked by Interfax who exactly represented Russia and the United States during the latest contacts, a Kremlin spokesman replied: ‘I can say that Yuri Ushakov represented the presidential administration and that there were several interlocutors from the White House.’ Earlier it was reported that Dmitriev arrived in Miami on 21 December for talks on resolving the Ukrainian issue. The American side was represented by US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law, businessman Jared Kushner.
