Rome, 20 December (LaPresse) – Over 70 ISIS targets were struck by the United States as part of Operation Hawkeye Strike in Syria. This was announced by the US Central Command (Centcom) in a statement published on X. “Centcom forces struck more than 70 targets in various locations in central Syria with combat aircraft, attack helicopters and artillery,” the statement read. 'The Jordanian armed forces also provided support with combat aircraft. The operation employed more than 100 precision munitions against known ISIS infrastructure and weapons sites.‘ For Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of Centcom, ’this operation is critical to preventing ISIS from inspiring terrorist plots and attacks against the United States. We will continue to relentlessly pursue terrorists who seek to harm Americans and our partners throughout the region."
