Brussels, 18 December (LaPresse) – Putin's language is 'a bit like barracks talk. There are no piglets, only leaders democratically elected by the people. Europe is a continent of democracies, where every leader is elected by the citizens, and the will of the people must be respected. We must respect it, and others must respect it too. There are no piglets, there are only elected leaders. One may agree or disagree, Putin has his positions, but no one is wagging their tail and running after anyone.‘ This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani at the EPP pre-summit in response to a question about the words used yesterday by Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding European leaders, whom he referred to as ’piglets."
