Washington (USA), 17 December (LaPresse) – Tonight at 9 p.m. (3 a.m. on Thursday in Italy), Donald Trump will address the nation to promote the successes of the first year of his second term in the White House and outline his future plans. “The best is yet to come,” the president wrote in a post on Truth, announcing his speech. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told reporters that the speech will focus on the president's “historic achievements”, particularly on immigration, inflation and “what lies ahead”. The speech comes at a crucial time for the president, with the midterm election campaign underway. Trump faces low approval ratings and concerns within his own party from those who fear he has not focused enough on key issues for Americans, such as inflation and the cost of living.
