Rome, 15 December (LaPresse) – ‘Italy remains firmly alongside Ukraine and committed to Europe in maintaining pressure on Moscow.’ This was stated by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani at the opening of the conference of ambassadors at the Farnesina. ‘There are many delicate issues to be resolved, including for Europe. I am thinking in particular of the management of frozen Russian assets,’ he added. ‘The project to support the energy sector with over £100 million that we have launched is a concrete sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people in the face of continued Russian bombing,’ Tajani continued, before emphasising: ‘Defining Europe's role and contribution to the management of the Ukrainian crisis is a crucial test. The coming weeks may be decisive and, once again, it will be essential to remain united. The American peace initiative is an opportunity that we must not miss. We must bring peace back to Europe.’
