(LaPresse/AP) – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated Chile's president-elect José Antonio Kast on his victory in the presidential election. ‘Under his leadership, we are confident that Chile will advance shared priorities, including strengthening public security, ending illegal immigration and revitalising our trade relations,’ he said in a statement. ‘The United States looks forward to working closely with his administration to deepen our partnership and promote shared prosperity in our hemisphere.’
