Kremlin: ‘It is positive that Russia is no longer considered a “direct threat” by the United States.’

Rome, 7 December (LaPresse) – The revision of the United States' national security strategy by President Donald Trump's administration, which no longer mentions Russia as a ‘direct threat,’ is a ‘positive step forward.’ This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov to the Russian news agency Tass. Mr Peskov noted that the messages on relations between Russia and the United States sent by the administration of US President Donald Trump ‘differ from the approaches of previous administrations’. The Kremlin ‘will examine the updated US national security strategy in more detail and analyse its provisions,’ the Russian president's spokesman said.
