US, Trump: ‘Act of terror and wickedness in Washington’

(LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump has described the shooting in Washington that targeted two members of the US National Guard as ‘a heinous attack’ and ‘an act of evil, hatred and terror,’ according to CNN. ‘It was a crime against the entire nation, a crime against humanity,’ Trump added. The FBI believes it has identified the suspect in the shooting of two National Guard soldiers. He is a man from Washington State who appears to have immigrated to the United States from Afghanistan in August 2021. The suspect is 29 years old and his name is Rahmanullah Lakanwal. The FBI will initially investigate the Washington shooting as a possible act of terrorism.
