(LaPresse) – The leader of the Spanish People's Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has called for a demonstration against Pedro Sanchez's government this Sunday in Madrid, at the Temple of Debod. In a statement from the party headquarters, the PP leader said that it is a “civic gathering open to all citizens”, “without party affiliations”, “against the corrupt and those who support them”. “I ask all citizens to demonstrate not for the benefit of a party but in defence of Spain,” said Feijóo after the investigating judge of the Supreme Court ordered the preventive detention of former Transport Minister and former PSOE number three José Luis Abalos and his former adviser Koldo García. Both are under investigation for various offences, including criminal association, corruption and influence peddling.
