Rome, 24 November (LaPresse) – The United States and Ukraine are ready to maintain contact with their European partners while working to coordinate a peace plan for Ukraine, according to a joint statement released by the White House following consultations in Geneva. "Ukraine and the United States have agreed to continue intensive work on joint proposals in the coming days. They will also remain in close contact with European partners as the process moves forward,‘ the document reads. The ’final decisions" on the draft plan will be made by US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the joint statement stressed. Both sides recognised the extreme productivity of the consultations. ‘The discussions highlighted significant progress in aligning positions and defining clear next steps. The parties reiterated that any future agreement must fully respect Ukraine's sovereignty and ensure a sustainable and just peace. Following the negotiations, the parties drafted an updated and revised framework document on peace,’ the document reads.
