Washington (USA), 18 November (LaPresse) – Jamal Khashoggi ‘wasn't liked by a lot of people’ and ‘whether you like it or not, things happen’. Donald Trump said this regarding the killing of the Saudi journalist. Faced with questions from reporters in the Oval Office, the president defended Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, assuring them that he ‘knew nothing’ about the affair. ‘You shouldn't embarrass our guest with these questions,’ Trump told reporters. Saudi Arabia ‘took all the right steps’ to investigate the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman added this when responding to questions from journalists in the Oval Office. The murder was “painful” and a ‘big mistake,’ bin Salman added.
