Madrid (Spain), 18 Nov. (LaPresse) – Spain's commitment to Ukraine is ‘long-term’. This was stated by Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares. It is a commitment to sovereignty, territorial integrity and the defence of the Ukrainian people and government ‘for the duration of this war of aggression,’ the minister added in an interview with national radio station Rne during Zelensky's visit to Spain. This is ‘a war against Ukraine, against the Ukrainian people, but also against European security and values,’ and ‘we will stand by the Ukrainian government in all areas, in all sectors where Ukraine needs us,’ Albares assured, specifying that last year, one billion euros in aid was allocated for the purchase of military equipment. ‘This year, our commitment is to reach at least that figure,’ he added.
