Rome, 16 November (LaPresse) – Air raid alarms sounded in Kiev during the night. According to local authorities on Telegram, sirens rang out in the Ukrainian capital in anticipation of a possible Russian attack. The authorities urged the population to take shelter. Meanwhile, the secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council, Rustem Umerov, announced a possible prisoner exchange with Moscow. “We are talking about the release of 1,200 Ukrainians. We are working tirelessly to ensure that Ukrainians returning from captivity can celebrate New Year and Christmas at home, at the family table and alongside their relatives,” he wrote on Telegram.
