Seoul (South Korea), 7 November (LaPresse) – The South Korean military says North Korea has launched at least one ballistic missile towards its eastern waters in the Sea of Japan. South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff reported this without releasing further details. North Korea has accelerated the pace of its weapons tests in recent weeks, including the launch of alleged hypersonic missiles and cruise missiles last month. The latest launch came just days after US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth travelled to South Korea for annual security talks between the allies on Tuesday and praised South Korean plans to increase military spending in the face of North Korean nuclear threats and other regional uncertainties.
