The daily newspaper Kronen Zeitung reports that the victims are of Chechen nationality. The police have launched a large-scale manhunt. According to the Austrian newspaper, the victims' compatriots have reported that the killer may be Serbian. According to investigators, he is an Austrian citizen with a history of immigration. The area around the restaurant has been cordoned off.
