Washington (USA), 1 Nov. (LaPresse) – The Pentagon has given the green light to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk long-range missiles, assessing that it will not have a negative impact on US stocks and leaving the final decision to President Donald Trump. CNN reports this, citing three US and European officials familiar with the matter. During Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to the White House earlier this month, Trump said he preferred not to supply the missiles to Ukraine because “we don't want to give away what we need to protect our country”. The Joint Chiefs of Staff, CNN reports, informed the White House of its assessment earlier this month, shortly before Trump met with Zelensky. The Tomahawks, requested by the Ukrainian president to strike long-range targets within Russia, have a range of approximately 1,600 kilometres.
