Jerusalem, 1 November (LaPresse) – Hamas' armed wing, referring to the remains of three people handed over to Israel yesterday that turned out not to belong to any of the hostages, said in a statement that it had offered Tel Aviv only samples of the unidentified bodies, but that Israel had refused to accept them and had asked for the remains to examine them. ‘We handed over the bodies to put an end to Israel's claims,’ the group said in a statement. ‘The enemy refused to receive the samples and asked to receive the bodies for examination,’ the Al-Qassam Brigades said. In the statement, Hamas then specified that its teams are ready to continue working to ‘extract the bodies of enemy prisoners within the Yellow Line,’ referring to areas of the Strip under the control of the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF). ‘The Al-Qassam Brigades ask the intermediaries and the International Committee of the Red Cross to provide and prepare the equipment and teams necessary to recover all the bodies simultaneously,’ the statement continued.
