Milan, 29 October (LaPresse) – ‘Russia is now the largest terrorist organisation in the world, not only waging its terrorist war, but also doing everything possible to ensure that no opportunity to end the war succeeds.’ Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on X, condemning the Russian attack that hit a children's hospital in Kherson. "This morning, the Russian army struck a children's hospital in Kherson. They could not have been unaware of where they were striking. This was a deliberate attack by Russia against children, against medical personnel, against the fundamental guarantees of life in the community,‘ Zelensky wrote. ’The hospital suffered serious damage and, unfortunately, there are injuries among both the staff and the children who were being treated. The youngest child injured is eight years old: the child himself was injured, as were his mother and brother. At the time of the attack, there were about a hundred people inside the hospital. And Russia is not even ashamed to consider such facilities as targets,‘ he added. ’Russia deliberately undermines any meaningful diplomatic effort, discredits those who help protect life, and seeks to create new sources of destabilisation in Europe to make it more difficult for Europeans to help Ukraine," Zelensky denounced. ‘And this year, while the United States has made such significant efforts to end the war, the Russians have only increased the audacity and scope of their attacks,’ he continued. "Nothing convinces Russia except pressure and force. The recent step taken by America was the right one: substantial sanctions against Russian oil companies. Such measures must continue in order to curb Russia's audacity, deprive it of the means to prolong the war and create a real reason for Moscow to end this conflict. Terrorists must be treated only as they deserve: with force and justice," the Ukrainian president concluded.
