Milan, 21 October (LaPresse) – According to two American officials, US President Donald Trump told his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky during their meeting last week at the White House that Ukraine should not count on receiving Tomahawk missiles in the short term. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal, according to which, despite Trump's desire to quickly end the conflict, Russia and Ukraine have made it clear that they are far from reaching a peace agreement. American, European and Ukrainian officials told the WSJ that Trump was candid with Zelensky during the meeting, expressing his frustration at one point and refusing to look at the combat maps brought by the Ukrainians. Trump reportedly told Zelensky that his top priority was to end the war and made it clear that he was not bound to any specific territorial outcome.
