Milan, 19 October (LaPresse) – During the night, Ukrainian drones struck the Orenburg gas processing plant in southern Russia, causing a fire. The important plant is operated by state-owned gas giant Gazprom and is located in the region of the same name near the border with Kazakhstan. It is part of a production and processing complex that is one of the largest facilities of its kind in the world, with an annual capacity of 45 billion cubic metres. According to the local Russian governor, Yevgeny Solntsev, the drone attacks set fire to a workshop at the plant and damaged part of it. There were no casualties.
