West Palm Beach (Florida, US), 19 October (LaPresse/AP) – The US State Department has stated that it has ‘reliable information’ that Hamas may violate the ceasefire with an attack against Palestinian civilians in Gaza. If the attack were to take place, it would ‘constitute a direct and serious violation’ of the agreement reached by President Donald Trump to end the two-year war between Israel and Hamas, the statement said. ‘If Hamas proceeds with this attack, measures will be taken to protect the people of Gaza and preserve the integrity of the ceasefire,’ the State Department said.
