Rome, 17 October (LaPresse) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with representatives of US defence company Raytheon, which manufactures Patriot systems and Tomahawk missiles, and representatives of defence company Lockheed Martin, ahead of his meeting with US President Donald Trump. ‘I told them about the situation on the battlefield and Russia's intensified attacks against our population and civilian infrastructure,’ Zelensky wrote on X, reporting on the meeting with Raytheon. "We discussed Raytheon's production capacity, potential opportunities for cooperation to strengthen Ukraine's air defence and long-range capabilities, and the prospects for joint Ukrainian-American production. There are solutions to improve the protection of human lives in Ukraine, and we are working at all levels to ensure their implementation.‘ ’I thank Raytheon for its willingness to continue supporting Ukraine," added the Kiev leader.
