Frankfurt (Germany), 15 October (LaPresse) – Ryanair will further reduce its operations in Germany in an attempt to put pressure on the federal government over high air traffic costs. The Irish airline has announced that it will offer around 10% fewer seats than planned in its winter schedule, cancelling 800,000 seats and 24 routes. In total, Ryanair will sell around 7 million tickets in the country, compared to 7.2 million last winter. The cuts will affect nine airports: Memmingen, Berlin-Brandenburg, Baden-Baden, Cologne/Bonn, Frankfurt-Hahn, Niederrhein, Hamburg, Nuremberg and Bremen. Dortmund, Dresden and Leipzig are excluded, as the company continues not to serve these airports.
