Turin, Oct. 3 (LaPresse) – Italian authorities held a conversation with Mossad chief Dadi Barnea, asking him to provide images of the detained Flotilla activists in order to verify their condition following reports that some may have been mistreated. This was reported by Israeli broadcaster Channel 12, which stated that, in response to the request, Barnea spoke with Minister Miri Regev, responsible for the port of Ashdod, asking her to urgently send documents, videos, and photographs of the detainees. According to the broadcaster, the material was transmitted directly by the Mossad chief to the Italian authorities “with the aim of reassuring them about the detainees’ condition and closing the diplomatic controversy.”
