Rome, 2 October (LaPresse) – "The Israeli authorities have just confirmed the conclusion of the Navy's operation to detain the flotilla at sea. Its members are currently being transferred to the port of Ashdod in view of subsequent expulsion procedures. As expected, the number of Italians detained is rising and now stands at 40. The final picture will be clear once all identification procedures have been completed." This was stated by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, speaking in response to the Senate after his communications on Gaza.
