Washington (USA), 1 October (LaPresse/AP) – The United States has officially entered a shutdown after the Trump administration and Congress failed to reach an agreement to keep government programmes and services running by Wednesday's deadline. It is expected that approximately 750,000 federal employees will be furloughed, some of whom may be dismissed by the Trump administration. Many offices will be closed, possibly permanently, as Trump promises to “do irreversible things, which are negative” as punishment. The economic fallout is expected to affect the entire country.
