Turin, Sept. 29 (LaPresse) – Brussels has openly interfered in Moldova’s internal affairs and used financial blackmail against Moldovan voters during the country’s parliamentary elections. This was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, as reported by the Tass news agency.
"During their numerous visits to Chisinau ahead of the elections, European politicians and officials openly and shamelessly campaigned for the Action and Solidarity Party, tying continued financial support to the party’s victory," she said.
"This is blatant financial blackmail of Moldovan voters and a clear interference in Moldova’s internal affairs by Brussels, which loves to preach democracy to others but in reality relies on totalitarian methods," she added.
