Milan, Sept. 29 (LaPresse) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has just apologized to Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani for the Israeli attack in Qatar on September 9. This was reported by a source to Axios.

Netanyahu is said to have spoken by phone for several minutes with Al Thani from the White House, where he is visiting U.S. President Donald Trump. Netanyahu apologized for violating Qatar’s sovereignty during the strike in Doha and expressed regret over the killing of a Qatari security guard in the raid.

The apology is seen as crucial to the ongoing effort to finalize a deal to end the war in Gaza and secure the release of all hostages, as Qatar had refused to mediate negotiations with Hamas after the Israeli attack, which targeted several Hamas leaders based in Doha.
