Rome, Sept. 19 (LaPresse) – Beijing described the phone call between Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump as “pragmatic, positive, and constructive,” Xinhua reported. During the conversation, Xi emphasized “the great importance” of relations between China and the United States and stated that the two countries “are fully capable of achieving mutual success and common prosperity, to the benefit of both nations and the entire world.” To realize this vision, “both sides must come closer together and work to achieve mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and mutually beneficial cooperation.”
