Turin, 15 September (LaPresse) – Russian ambassador to Bucharest Oleg Lipayev, summoned by the Romanian Foreign Ministry after reports that a drone had violated Romanian airspace, described the protest as implausible and unfounded ‘due to the lack of objective confirmation of the aircraft's nationality’. This was reported by the Russian embassy in a statement quoted by Ria Novosti. Lipayev, it said, stressed that ‘all the facts point to a deliberate provocation’ by Kiev, which, ‘fearing imminent military collapse and responsibility for the crimes it is committing against the Russian and Ukrainian peoples, is desperately trying by all means to involve other European states in a dangerous military adventure’ against Russia.
