Naples, 12 September (LaPresse) – Putin's actions ‘are provocations, and we must not fall for them, but we must make it clear that Europe and the West are united’. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, on the sidelines of the Conference of Scientific and Space Attachés and Agricultural Experts currently taking place in Naples. Asked about the words of Defence Minister Guido Crosetto, who spoke of an ongoing “hybrid war”, Tajani replied: ‘It is well known that there is a hybrid war; it has been going on for years. This is one of the reasons why, in the reform of the Foreign Ministry, we have decided to set up a Directorate-General for Security, where there will be plenty of room for cyber security.’
