Rome, 11 September (LaPresse) – France will mobilise three Rafale fighter jets to defend Polish airspace. This was announced by Emmanuel Macron on X. ‘Following the incursions of Russian drones into Poland, I have decided to deploy three Rafale fighter jets to help protect Polish airspace and NATO's eastern flank together with our allies,’ wrote the Élysée Palace. ‘I made this commitment yesterday with the Polish Prime Minister,’ he added. ‘I also discussed this issue with the NATO Secretary General and the British Prime Minister, who is also involved in defending the eastern flank. The security of the European continent is our top priority. We will not give in to Russia's growing intimidation.’
