Kiev, Sept 7 (LaPresse) – A fire broke out in the government building in the Ukrainian capital following a Russian attack overnight on several cities, including Kiev. Local authorities, cited by Ukrainian media, reported the incident. Images show a column of smoke rising from the building. Ukrainska Pravda writes that a fire erupted in the Cabinet of Ministers building.
“In the Pechersk district, a fire broke out in a government building following an alleged drone attack. Firefighters are working on site,” wrote Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko on his Telegram channel. There were no casualties after the building was hit.
According to some sources cited by Ukrainska Pravda, it was not caused by debris impact but rather a targeted strike on the government building.
