Rome, 6 September (LaPresse) – "Copenhagen, Paris, Užhorod. First, a meeting with our friends from the eight Nordic-Baltic countries. Then the Coalition of the Willing, over 35 countries. Visits by the President of the European Council, the Prime Minister of Slovakia and the Swedish Foreign Minister to our Transcarpathia. Many negotiations these days, all aimed at giving Ukraine even more strength, even more resilience. At our side are all of free Europe, America, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and other partners around the world. Our result: 26 countries are now ready to guarantee Ukraine's security through action. I am grateful to all the leaders for our joint work.‘ This was written in a message on X by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. ’But before peace can be guaranteed, Russia must be pushed to do so. Everything possible must be done to ensure that Moscow stops rejecting all peace initiatives and realises the consequences of prolonging this war. Severe sanctions and tariffs – joint European and American efforts – are crucial to this. There can be no possibility of financing the Russian war machine. Then there will be further transatlantic work to ensure that the pressure is truly tangible," Zelensky wrote.
