Rome, 31 August (LaPresse) β The Ukrainian army has liberated the village of Myrne, near Kupiansk, in the Kharkiv Oblast, according to updated DeepState maps published on 29 August and cited by The Kyiv Independent. Previously, the positions allowed Russian troops to control the road leading to the city of Kupiansk, about 104 kilometres (65 miles) east of Kharkiv, the regional capital. The liberation was confirmed by Viktor Trehubov, spokesman for the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Group. βAt the moment, the Russians have been driven out of Myrne. There is no information about Russian soldiers being wounded or killed. Our forces are advancing further,β Trehubov told Suspilne news on 30 August. This development comes as the inhabitants of Kupiansk continue to endure dire humanitarian conditions due to ongoing Russian attacks.
