Rome, 31 August (LaPresse) – Ahead of today's security cabinet meeting to discuss plans for the war in Gaza, anonymous sources told Channel 12 that US President Donald Trump is increasing pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to defeat Hamas, having lost faith in the effectiveness of talks for a ceasefire and the release of hostages. Sources told the Jewish network that, following the ceasefire agreement for the hostage-taking in January and the release of American-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander in May, Trump has pushed Netanyahu to act more quickly to defeat Hamas.
