China-Turkey: Xi-Erdogan meeting focuses on Ukraine, Gaza and Syria

Milan, 31 August (LaPresse) – Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the 25th summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Tianjin. The Turkish news agency Anadolu reports that “during the meeting, the two discussed the war between Ukraine and Russia, the situation in Gaza and joint measures for the development of Syria”. The presidents of Turkey and China also agreed that the current consultation and cooperation mechanisms between the two countries will be implemented at regular intervals.
