NATO: two Italian F-35s intercept Russian aircraft in Estonia

Brussels, 28 August (LaPresse) – "Two Italian F-35s, operating as part of NATO's air policing mission, took off from Ämari in Estonia in response to a Russian aircraft. The Air Task Force – 32nd Wing and 6th Wing – at Ämari Air Base demonstrates the Alliance's commitment to protecting and safeguarding the Baltic regions and the eastern flank." This was reported by NATO Air Command. On 13 August, for the first time, two Italian F-35s intercepted a Russian aircraft in Estonia.
